Privacy Collection Notice

The Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect and handle any personal information about you, or third parties provided in your application or correspondence with us, for the purpose of assessing (including consultation with others), administering and reporting your grant application to participate in Round Two Community Support Grants of the SRLA Community Projects Fund (CPF). We refer you to the SRLA CPF Round 2 Community Support Grants Guidelines, which provides more information about Round 2 of the CPF and the assessment and administration process.

For us to assess and administer your application effectively and efficiently, we may need to disclose your personal information with our staff, SmartyGrants (the company that hosts the application platform), contractors and other stakeholders, including local councils, other public sector organisations such as the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority and the Department of Transport and Planning, Ministers and Cabinet Committees, and others who need access to it as part of their duties for the purposes set out above. We may also disclose your personal information to inform the public if your application is successful and for us to comply with any applicable laws.

If you intend to include personal information about third parties in your application, please ensure that they are aware of the contents of this privacy collection notice.

Any personal information about you or a third party in your application or correspondence will be collected, stored, used and disclosed in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) and other applicable laws.

We will only send you communications about any application you make and updates to keep you informed on the application process. You may choose not to provide us with any information we request from you, but in that case we may not be able to accept an application from you, respond to your queries or take your feedback into account.

Applicants please note:

  • Applications must be submitted by an individual with authority to do so on behalf of their group/organisation.
  • Before completing this Application Form, you should have read the Community Projects Fund Round 2: Community Support Grants Guidelines.
  • Applicants must only submit one application per proposed project. 
  • Applications must be completed (with all required documentation) and submitted by 3pm, 24 October 2025
  • Awarding of grants and advice to recipients will occur in December 2025.

Mandatory documentation

Please have the following documentation ready before you start filling out the application form:

  • Annual Report and Financial Statement
  • Certificate of Currency (Public Liability Insurance) and other insurance certificates
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Auspice agreement (if applicable)
  • Quotes for all items over $1,000
  • Asset owner evidence of consent
  • Evidence of asset ownership or current land/building lease

Confirmation of Project Eligibility

Round 2 is a Community Support grants round and will provide grants for community-led projects within the SRL East precincts. Grants of between $10,000 and $80,000 are available to support local projects that fulfil the assessment criteria. Examples of projects that may be considered for Grants include:

  • Community events, festivals 
  • Upgrades to local community assets, for e.g. neighbourhood houses 
  • Resources for a local library 
  • Projects that celebrate local heritage, history, or diversity 
  • Initiatives for boorai, bubup, youth, women, men or Elders.
  • Tree plantings at a local reserve
  • Sporting club upgrades or equipment 
  • Gardening equipment for a community garden

In submitting your application for consideration by the Suburban Rail Authority, the onus is upon your organisation to identify and manage any conflict-of-interest (COI) situations that you may have identified.

Confirmation of Organisation's Eligibility

I confirm that the organisation applying for this grant:

  • has read and understands the guidelines
  • is (or is auspiced by) an incorporated community group or organisation with not-for-profit status
  • will maintain the appropriate public liability insurance cover
  • has completed all previous local council funding acquittal requirements
  • does not derive income from gambling, and is not planning to conduct activities that promote gambling
  • has in-principle support from relevant stakeholders
  • can demonstrate the project can be completed within 12 months of receiving an offer of funding
  • is not applying for a grant for a project that is considered ineligible according to the Guidelines
  • have acquitted and satisfactorily met the requirements of previous funding arrangements with SRLA
